Recycling of plastics could become faster, cheaper and more efficient thanks to an automatic waste sorting system under development in the us.The system can distinguish automatically between six different plastics, sorting objects such as bottles and bags with almost 100 per cent accuracy.
In the us, recycling operations are limited because of the difficulties and expense of sorting plastic materials by hand.Containers and packages are made from a variety of plastics, and can only be recycled if they are separated from one another.
The society of plastics industry is asking its member companies to stamp codes on containers and packaging to identify the polymers from which they are made.This enables people to sort the goods by hand, but the process is painstakingly slow and prone to error.

This fire department has become the joke of central ohio.I feel sorry for all the firefighters who work there.The chief and deputy chief are responsible for spreading this information around and not keeping it in house.They have been traveling around the county visiting different fire departments demanding to interview firefighters from other departments because they too had these records from the 911 call center.Thank goodness these other fire departments had the common sense to tell these two idiots to take a hike and not to pollute their departments with this nonsense.If things were so great at this fire department as the chief's and mr.Burris would have you believe, then why is all this taking place?I hope the dispatch looks into what has taken place within this department since sheets and dawson have taken over.How many law suits have been filed?How many people have been fired?Why is there so much animosity?
Finally, if the chief's wife was so upset about her personal information being leaked then why would she go to a public meeting to air your dirty laundry and why would you meet with a reporter?Is there a lawsuit in the works?Please, please, please grove city look at taking over this mess and starting over with a competent administration.
As an hr / benefits rep, i fail to see the hipaa violation here, especially if the document allegedly"Passed around"Was the same as that disseminated as public record a month before.
The much larger issue at handa public employee's wife calls to say she is being choked, the day before valentines no less, yet the ensuing investigation determines no crime has been committed? !?I can't help but wonder if mrs sheets wore scarves or turtleneck blouses the following few weeks to hide any potential bruising.
The firefighters in question may be guilty of poor judgement in the manner used to garner more publicity on this, but i applaud them if it creates an indepth investigation of how an emergency call of being choked is not criminal.
